Harris is a graduate of Southern University Law Center where she earned her Juris Doctor. During her law school tenor Harris served as the President of the Student Bar Association, Council of Student Body Presidents Chair within the Louisiana Board of Regents, and the Co-Founder and Executive Editor of the Southern University Law Center Journal of Intellectual Property, Technology, and Law.

Harris is an advocate and firm believer in the power of organizing small to mid-size businesses. Prior to attending law school, Harris served as the Opportunity Neighborhood Mount Vernon Community Organizer in Fairfax County, Virginia. Within this, role Ms. Harris supported local family and community engagement, school readiness, education, literary advancement, and workforce readiness.

Additionally, Harris served as a Public Affairs Specialist for Bethune-Cookman University coordinating legislative outreach and lobbying the Florida Higher Education Appropriations Committee for funding to expand the university’s initiatives. Within this role Harris assisted in garnering more over $5 Million in appropriations from the Florida State Legislature.
